Plans to offer courses in Digital Arts, Animation, and Product Design will become a reality when the new University of Oregon, Portland, opens its doors in 2008

With more than 66,000 square feet of available space, the new Portland center will unite university academic programs in one place and allow the university to host lectures and other events. The center will include classrooms; new event space for functions that will accommodate up to 250 people; a new library presence for its art, architecture, and journalism programs; a shared computer laboratory; and a new university book store/Duck Shop that will feature a cafe. It will also house administrative offices for 75 to 100 employees, including the university's study abroad program, AHA International.

Note: The 5th year BFA programs in Product Design and Digital Arts will be offered through the Portland center. The 4 year BA/BS in Art, Digital Arts and Product Design will continue to be offered through the main Eugene campus.

Stay tuned for details in the coming months!
